I've been doing a lot of exploring on the subjects of race, racism, and urban black cultures. It is of course a ridiculously complicated issue but one I think everyone needs to spend some time on. In the last few months I've read: Black Like Me , Losing the Race: Self Sabotage in Black America and recommed both highly. I will soon begin HarlemWorld.
While were on the subject of Race. Here's a truly interesting site on the subject, BlackPeopleLoveUs.com. What's amazing to me is the comments page where so many people seem to believe they "get it" but don't or completely miss the fact that the site is satirical.
